Justin Bieber Was Upset When His Music Was Compared to Justin Timberlake

It seems that there were more reasons for Justin Bieber to hang up abruptly during an interview with the radio show ‘Mojo in the Morning’. The interview turned ugly when Mojo started asking questions which made Justin Bieber uncomfortable.

The host questioned Bieber whether he was worried that One Direction member Harry Styles would date his young mother Pattie Mallette. Harry has been known to have a liking for older women. But prior to this it has now been revealed that the radio host even compared Justin Bieber’s music to another pop icon Justin Timberlake.

Justin Bieber seemed upset when the radio host mentioned his music of ‘Boyfriend’ being similar in style to the N’Sync’s ex-member Timberlake who shot to fame after his hit single ‘Girlfriend’. Defending himself Bieber responded, “Man, that’s crazy because our voices sound nothing alike. I mean, I’m not trying to sound like anyone. Saying I sound like someone else is not really a compliment.I think if you were to say I heard some Justin Timberlake-esque things in your sound I would take that as a compliment.”

Justin’s manager Scooter Braun too had recently clarified the comparison between both the stars and Bieber seemed to have replicated his manager’s commments. He added,’Justin Timberlake is definitely really talented and is similar because he’s white and he’s singing pop, R&B. I think we both have the type of edge. I definitely want to have my own lane and not be compared. But I think he is super, super-talented.”

Before hanging up the phone, Justin did have the last say on defending his mom. ”I don’t think you should worry about me – worry about your mum, bro.”
