Justin Bieber With Mom Pattie Mallette

As Mother’s Day arrives this weekend, what a way teen heartthrob Justin Bieber has thought of gifting his mom Pattie Mallette! As reported by MTV news, Justin Bieber has released a brand new song called ‘Turn to You’, dedicating it to his mom. The song will reflect the hardships faced by Justin and his mother in their early days. “I wrote a song for my mom. But I’m going to put it out on Mother’s Day”, Justin told MTV News.

On the other hand, Pattie Mallette will also be releasing her own version of their life struggles soon in her memoir ““Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber’s Mother.”” Will the song and the memoir have some similarities in their content? We shall soon find out.

Regarding the song, Justin had to say, “[It's] about the struggles, I say in the song. She had me at like the age I am now. [It's about] just the struggles she went through and how brave she was, and I think the world needed to know that.” The song release coincides well with Justin graduating high school just a couple of days back. Justin admitted that it was for his mom as she encouraged her to finish school. The song along with Justn’s graduation would definitely be a fitting gift this mother’s day for Pattie.

Tweeting about the release of the song, Justin wrote, “Help moms in need. Give them strength. Thank u mom.” Justin plans to take it further by doing some charity as well. All the sales proceeds shall be donated to a noble cause that helps single mothers. On this Bieber tweeted, The song I wrote for my mom #TurnToYou hits ITUNES this Friday for Mother’s Day Weekend. Money raised will go to helping other single moms.”

According to E! news, the target of proceeds shall be $1.5 million and will be till May 31st. The proceeds will go to Bethesda Center,in London, Ontario. Pattie Mallette owes a lot to this center saying, “If it weren’t for Bethesda, I’m not sure where Justin or I would be. Bethesda gave us a chance.”

Ying Yang Twins

Ying Yang Twins’ famous track ‘Wait (The Whisper Song)’ was compared by many to be the inspiration to Justin Bieber’s hit single ‘Boyfriend’. The similarity was drawn with regards to the songs tempo, the lyrical delivery by Justin as well as its production. The single also had a low key vibe to make both the songs very much alike.

Well, after the hugely success single ‘Boyfriend’, the Ying Yang Twins on Wednesday came up with a remixed version of the same. Maybe it was kind of a tribute of returning the favor to the 18 year old. The remix starts off with “Ying Yang and Justin Bieber, oh!” and carry on with the lyrics of ‘Boyfriend’.

The original song, co-written and produced by Mike Posner & Mason Levy has brought about a new era of Justin Bieber’s music as he showcases some mature lyrics and a different music style altogether. This perfectly suits the now 18 year old rising star and will help him a long way as he prepares himeself for giving his fans the brand new album ‘Believe’ on June 19th.

Before Justin comes in with his version in the remix, the Twins do their rap, “I don’t wanna be your boyfriend, I wanna be your man/ He a little-bitty boy, I’m a grown man/ I can take you overseas, a harmless breeze/ Then you and me can have sex on the beach/ I bet you ain’t never met someone like me/ I’m the broom, you the dust pan/ Sweep you off your feet/ You can be my woman, I can be your man/ If you got a little sister, Justin Bieber want to be her boyfriend.”

The lyrics of the Ying Yang Twins version matches quite closely to the original ‘Boyfriend’ lyrics which also emphasizes o travelling around the world. Although there are no references to fondue or Buzz Lightyear references this time around.

The music video of ‘Boyfriend’ already saw a record breaking opening in terms of number of views on You Tube. The video showcases some cool dance moves by Justin Bieber along with his passion for muscle cars as well. Bieber also performed the hit single live for the first time on the music talent show ‘The Voice’ Season 2 finale.

In an interview with MTV news, when Justin was asked why he chose ‘Boyfriend’?, Justin said,” I just thought it was like, of all the songs I had at that time, it was the song that most repped me at the time and [that] I wanted to put out there and what I wanted people to hear and the type of new fresh sound that I wanted to hear, I thought that that was a perfect first single to come out with.”

Justin Bieber once again made his presence felt in the music talent show ‘The Voice’ after he gave an energetic performance of his latest hit single ‘Boyfriend’ live for the first time ever. A few weeks earlier on the same show Bieber had agreed to perform live on the talent show and he did not disappoint his fans. The show saw talented singer Jermaine Paul win the second season. But Justin Bieber’s swags with the mature lyrics before the announcement made the show even more special. the performance was well matched with the attire he wore, gold boots with a gold studded leather jacket and black pants. In front of a screaming wave of girl fans, Bieber hit the stage accompanied by a dazzling light show along with hot dancer babes.

The music video of ‘Boyfriend’ released last week & shattered You Tube records for the most number of single-day views. ‘Boyfriend’ is the single release from Justin Bieber’s upcoming album ‘Believe’ which releases June 19th.

Earlier on Tuesday, the 18 year old did notify all his fans through Twitter about the big day. the tweet said, “BIG DAY TODAY. Performing #BOYFRIEND for the first time Live on the FINALE of @NBCTheVoice.”

Apart from Justin Bieber, the show also had other music artists performing. The show opened with Flo Rida & Juliet Simms performing ‘Whistle’ & ‘Wild One’ in rendition. They were followed by Hall & Oates who performed “Rich Girl” after which Lady Antellum performed ‘Wanted You More’.
